Meet Kate!
Kate is a freelance garden writer and author. Her past work included weekly columns on education and parenting topics, and now she specializes in garden topics including various areas of garden history.
She is also the author of The Downsized Veggie Garden (Feb 2016) and Month by Month New Jersey and New York (Aug 2016). She currently lives in South Carolina and writes a regular column for the county newspaper.
Kate grew up in rural Leicestershire (UK) is married to a Londoner, and they have 4 sons. Along with her husband, Kate moved around the USA and put in gardens wherever they have lived giving her first-hand knowledge of Midwestern clay, southern red clay, and the rocky land of the Appalachian Mountains and growing knowledge that covers gardening zones 5 through 8b.
